As It Pleases God

The past couple of days have been a sort of “continuing education” time for me.  I’ve been pulling books off the shelf to read thoughtful words from other home educators, authors, poets, and, of course, Scripture.  Taking breaks to play the piano gave me some time for ideas to sink in and build me up for the next few months.  I’m also using this time to pull thoughts together for the Tailor Made Mom’s Only Read Aloud in January.  It will be a time of encouragement for those who might be in the middle of a muddle.  Sometimes, it’s hard to agree with Mary and say, “To me be as it pleases God.

I found several quotes from my Commonplace Book to be very encouraging over the past several hours and days include.  Quote authors include Scott Hahn, Chris Wark, Charlotte Mason, Brian Moran, Michael Lennington, Liz Cottrill, Holly Pierlot, Wendell Berry, Fr. John Hardin, St. Francis of Assisi, Dallas Willard, G.K. Chesterton, Bill St. Cyr, Wordsworth, Anne E. White, and Scripture Itself.

Very helpful sources of encouragement during the winter months of home education:
