Saving Ideas for Posie’s Composition Instruction

Joanne Calderwood shares some excellent points about composition instruction in her explanation of Virtual Language Alive!  I want to save the ideas here for future planning.  I intend to closely follow the CMH composition suggestions, but Mrs. Calderwood offers some extra tweaks to consider as I plan for Posie’s Course of Instruction over the next several years.

The link to all the help I’ve found from the CMH site is found here:  http://www.charlottemasonhelp.com/2009/07/narration.html

Posie seems to be a natural storyteller, so I don’t see much need to go into the formal IEW methods.  She enjoys artistic pursuits which include stories, painting, poetry, music, and loads of literature.  I am finding that this informal style of composition instruction seems like the perfect fit for her talents.
